The Advantages of Aerated Concrete Blocks

    Lightweight

The volumetric density is generally between 400–700 kg/m3, which is about 1/3 of solid clay bricks, 1/5 of ordinary concrete, and lower than general light aggregate concrete, hollow blocks, hollow clay bricks, and other products.

    Good Insulation Performance

It has a large number of pores and micropores inside and has good thermal insulation performance. The thermal conductivity is 0.09–0.22 w/(m·r), only 1/4–1/5 of solid clay bricks, 1/5–1/10 of ordinary concrete, and has a low water absorption rate.

    Workability

It can be sawed, planed, drilled, and nailed.

Wide Source of Raw Materials, High Production Efficiency, Low Production Energy Consumption

Therefore, the foundation cost of buildings can be reduced by 15%, transportation energy consumption can be reduced by 10%, and the thermal conductivity is 1/4–1/5 of clay bricks, which can increase the effective use area of buildings.

Requirements for Raw Material Composition of Aerated Concrete Blocks

    Fly Ash

The amount of silicon dioxide and ferric oxide should not exceed 70%, and the loss on ignition should be less than 8%.

    Quicklime

The effective calcium oxide content should not exceed 75%, the slaking time should be 8-15 minutes, the slaking temperature should be above 65 degrees, the overburned lime content should be less than 8%, the fine ash content should be less than 10%, and the magnesium oxide content should be less than 5%.

    Gypsum

Use dihydrate gypsum or phosphogypsum with a ferric oxide content greater than 35%.

    Cement

    Use 32.5R bulk cement.

    Sand

The sand should be free of weeds and stones. The silicon dioxide content should be greater than 85%, and the clay content should be less than 3%.

    Aluminum Paste for AAC Block

The active aluminum content should be greater than 90%, and the solid content should be greater than 65%.
